Eleven Months Old!

At 11 months old, Caleb...

...weighs approximately 22 lbs 6 oz (I weighed him on our scale at home so not 100% accurate but pretty close). This still puts him at about the 50th percentile for weight. I don't know how long he is right now.

*not too much has changed since last month, so I'll combine all the things that are still the same into one bullet...

...still: wears size 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers, takes 2 naps a day (1-2 hrs each), goes to bed around 7:30pm and sleeps about 12 hours, takes a paci for naps and at night, drinks 6-8 oz of formula every 4 hours and eats solids 3 times a day, drinks juice and water from a straw cup (but won't drink formula), says "dadada" and "bababa", and has 6 teeth!

*some new things...

...might have said his first real word but we're not 100% sure. We think he's saying "Tag" (one of our dogs). It sounds a lot like "Taaaaaaaaaa" (he draws it out) and if you ask him to say "Tag" he makes that sound...and he gets the biggest smile on his face. It's so cute! He loves Tag so I would not be surprised if he really is trying to say his name.

...loves opening and closing doors and drawers. This has led to MANY smashed fingers and lots of tears, but he hasn't put two and two together just yet.

...is now in a room of "crawlers" at church. This room is tons of fun because they feed them snacks and blow bubbles for them to try to catch!

...went on his first vacation with mom and dad! We went to Panama City Beach, FL for a week and had a blast! (blog post coming soon) This marked his 1st time at the beach, and also 1st time to go through/to Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.

...finally reaches for me now when I put my hands out to pick him up (and then he usually smiles really big). Makes me feel special. :)

AND, OF COURSE...

...is still the sweetest, most handsome little boy ever!

I would say that the one thing that stands out the most to me this month is Caleb's activity level. He's not really doing a lot of new stuff, but he is just more active in general. He rarely sits still. When you watch him, it goes something like "crawl to toy, chew on toy, drop toy, crawl to another toy, chew on toy, drop toy, crawl onto dog bed trying to catch a dog, crawl away to find a toy b/c dogs scattered, chew on toy, bang toy against patio door, chew on toy, crawl to window holding toy, pull up on window, bang on window with toy, fall over, sit up, crawl to window again, fall over, sit up, crawl to dresser drawer, open drawer, close drawer, open drawer, close drawer, smash finger, cry, scream, cry, stop crying, crawl to dresser drawer again, open drawer, close drawer, smash finger again........" and all of this happens in about two minutes, LOL! He definitely gets more and more fun each month and I can't believe how fast he's growing up. We have loved having him in our family for these 11 months!
