Christmas Morning 2010

We had a fun Christmas morning in the Dotson house. Santa brought Caleb lots of cool new toys! He got a play kitchen, red wagon, tool set, ride-on toy, new books, and a tent/tunnel playset.

*another tradition in the Dotson house that we did not do growing up....wrapped gifts from Santa. our Santa did not wrap his gifts. he left each kid a stack of gifts that were assembled and just sitting out in the open. we had to compromise and leave some things unwrapped! it makes sense anyway b/c we would have had to wrap the "big" things in their boxes and then put them together before Caleb could enjoy them.

Again...our Santa did the same...our gifts (ours left by the fireplace though) uncovered and assembled for us. Josh's family wrapped Santa gifts...my way has won out...I figure...I have to hide the "special" santa paper somewhere which just doesn't make sense when they get older and more curious...they would find it. Now...did your family leave "evidence" that Santa had been there behind?? My parents left scraps of red felt or white fluff (like santa's clothes), they turned over the fireplace cover, put soot on the bricks of the fireplace, etc. One year Santa left my sister a jingle bell from his sleigh

Ha! We are the same way! Phil's Santa wrapped his gifts & my Santa left all gifts unwrapped on my "assigned" couch. Maybe there ARE 2 Santas! These are great pictures of your Christmas morning; looks like a lot of fun!
