Crawfish and Crown...

...moulding, that is!

What a great day! I finally got some boiled crawfish! Rhett went to HEB for groceries this afternoon and found out they were having a crawfish boil there. I guess HEB hired some company to come out and boil up some mudbugs...with corn and potatoes! On his way out, he stopped by to taste them and determined they would be worth a try. They were only $3.99 a pound, which is a good price. We had already eaten lunch, so we decided we try them out for dinner. They said they'd be there until 5pm, so thats about when we headed over there to buy some...10 lbs in all. They weren't huge by any means, but most were a decent size. We were surprised at how good they were! If your nose starts running and the corn is so spicy it burns your lips, then that is a good sign! I can finally stop thinking about crawfish for a while. Here is a picture of our delectable dinner:

The majority of the day, we worked on the crown moulding. We're putting it up all throughout the house. Last weekend, we did the guest bedroom and guest bathroom. All the cracks and nail holes are filled in there, I just need to do some touchup painting and those rooms will be done. Now we are working on the master bedroom, which is more of a chore. The guest bed/bath are both simple square rooms, so they're not too hard to do. The master isn't exactly square and we have vaulted ceilings and various slants and slopes....makes Rhett's job of measuring angles and cutting the moulding a little more difficult. Luckily, he's both smart and handy so it will get done! I am mostly there for holding things...and I also get the tedious job of filling in cracks and nail holes. We are trying to get this all done before I get too big in the belly! After the master bedroom, we will move on to the living room (more vaulted ceilings and slopes), then finish up in the baby's room. We still have to paint the baby's room at some point, so we're waiting until we get that done to put up moulding in there. We already put crown up in the kitchen when we remodeled it. I love doing home projects!! (seriously)

Well, that's all for today. I am making an attempt to blog more. Maybe I will post a belly pic tomorrow...maybe!
