Rhett was supposed to go camping w/some friends this past Friday night, but the weather was just too bad so he stayed home w/his pregnant wife instead! I had him go to Babies R Us w/me on Saturday to register for baby gear/gadgets. (braving the torrential rains to get there!) We were in and out in about an hour and 15 minutes! (thanks to the hubby making quick work of the suggested "check list") I would have probably stayed hours in there by myself. Luckily, I had already researched and selected a lot of the "big" things beforehand, so we just needed to check out the "little" things. I have lots of friends who are mommies already, so I've received lots of good advice and I am thankful for that! It can be so overwhelming trying to decide what you need and/or want.
Hmm, what else? Oh yeah...this week, I was shocked to find my left ankle/foot starting to swell...just great! I thought that wouldn't happen until much later in the pregnancy...like the end of the 3rd trimester. "What to Expect..." says it can happen at any time, so that's pretty crappy. I know its not that big of a deal, but its still kinda crazy when all this stuff starts happening to your body. Guess I will have "cankles" for the rest of spring and summer...yay!!
Well, thats really about it! We do go to the doctor again on Friday, but its just another in/out appointment. I am looking forward to hearing Caleb's heartbeat again...its always a nice relief to hear that. I am feeling him move a little more now, but still not feeling any acrobatic twists or cartwheels just yet! He does like to push against my bladder, though....little stinker!
