Parent Commitment Ceremony

Last Sunday, we participated in a Parent Commitment Ceremony at our church where we were able to publicly show our commitment to raise Caleb in a Godly home and teach him about Jesus. God blessed us with a beautiful, healthy little boy and it is our privilege, as well as our responsibility to raise him in church and encourage and equip him to become a man of God.

Part of the ceremony included telling the meaning of our child's name as well as a verse of scripture that we chose to pray over our child.

The name Caleb is of Hebrew origin and it means "faithful or devoted".

The verse we chose for Caleb is Colossians 2:6-7.

"As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving."

What a blessing it is to be Caleb's parents!
