Christmas Eve Eve...and Eve

We had Christmas with my side of the family on the 23rd...otherwise known as "Christmas Eve Eve." We all met at my aunt and uncle's house in League City. Josh was home on leave, so all the siblings were there. We ate a HUGE lunch and then opened gifts. Caleb was super spoiled and got lots of cool toys and even some cute clothes. Rhett got a bunch of books and I got one book, two scarves, the new Rascal Flatts CD, and a Target gift card. We had a great time and enjoyed spending the day with my family!

On Christmas Eve, we stayed home all day and somehow ended up cleaning the house from top to bottom. That was actually Rhett's idea, not mine. It was nice to come home to a clean house after our Christmas travels, though. We were going to go to the Christmas Eve service at church, but decided to stay home because we had so much to do to finish getting ready for our first road trip with Caleb. Hopefully next year, we can go to church and start that tradition for our family.

I don't have any pics of us cleaning the house on Christmas Eve, but I do have some from Christmas with my family. Enjoy!

Definitely our most precious gift this year!

Daddy showing Caleb his musical Winnie the Pooh book

attempting to take a good picture of the cousins proved impossible!

Jake's way of entertaining his baby cousin (that's a cell phone)...

Yearly picture of Uncle Josh and the nephews...with a new nephew this year!

And our yearly picture of the sibs all together... (yes, those are shot gun shell Christmas lights on the mantle, LOL)

And finally, a picture of the whole family. Dad figured out how to work the timer on his camera, but the first time he forgot to push the button so we just sat there for a minute and nothing happened. Then we were like "Dad...did you push the button?" True story.
