And he's off!

Caleb is officially crawling as of yesterday. He started off in the morning going about 2 feet and then falling. Then at lunch, while Rhett was home, he took off and made it halfway across our bedroom...and there's been no turning back since! For the record, the very first thing he officially crawled after was the computer power cord. (of course, it was something he wasn't supposed to have!) He only army crawled/inch wormed for about a week and a half before actually crawling. I think my workload just doubled because he is all over the place now!

Some things he's crawled after in his 2 short days of crawling:

• any power cord he can find (time for baby proofing!)
• the dogs' food bowls (empty, thank goodness)
• the dogs' water bowl (not empty, but I caught him before he made a huge mess)
• the dogs themselves (Roux and Tag bolt, but Rio will kinda play with him sometimes)
• the virtual walls for our Roombas
• drawers in the kitchen (he's fascinated with opening and closing them)
• the trashcan in his room
• any shoes he can find
• Rhett's work computer bag
• our laptop
• the TV speakers (on stands) in the living room
• the ironing board (too bad he can't iron)
• a pile of laundry in our master closet (too bad he can't do laundry either)

In addition to crawling, he also started pulling up yesterday as well (on his knees, not standing). He also figured out how to get from a sitting position to a crawling position, but not vice versa. Needless to say, yesterday was an eventful day in the Dotson house. Here a video to prove it!
