Caleb's 3 Year Birthday Interview

I've been seeing this birthday interview all over the internet (I probably first saw it on Pinterest).  I thought it'd be a cute idea to start this year since Caleb can kinda answer questions now.  I have to add that I'm pretty sure Caleb doesn't know what the word "favorite" means.  I had to rephrase the questions and say things like "What color do you like?" instead of saying favorite.

(We are doing cupcakes for his family party on Saturday, so today we did birthday ice cream instead!  I didn't want to make cupcakes or a cake twice in the same week because most of it would go to waste.)

How old are you?  Three!  (holding up two fingers)

What is your favorite color?  You're gonna be three!  (after asking and coaxing a bit more, he said "red")

What is your favorite animal?  Three!  (I started to think this interview was going nowhere....)

What is your favorite book?  No, I don’t want to.  (He thinks this means he has to go to bed because we read books before bed)  I asked again and then he said “Let me go get one.”  He went and got Big Red Barn.

What is your favorite TV show?  I don’t know.  (After asking again, he said "I like to watch Handy Manny."  Then he sat down at the computer with me thinking we would watch it on the computer.  He was totally confused by this interview.)

What is your favorite movie?  Handy Manny

What is your favorite song?  Jesus Loves Me This I Know.  How 'bout that song?

What is your favorite food?  I like chicken!  (he means Chick-fil-a)

What is your favorite drink?  Water

What is your favorite breakfast food?  Chicks-a-way  (which we rarely eat for breakfast)

What is your favorite snack?  Fruit snacks  (which we actually haven't eaten in a long time)

What is your favorite outfit?  (I had to rephrase this and ask what clothes he likes to wear....he does not know what an outfit is)   T-shirt

What is your favorite game?  I like to play baseball (which we don't play all that often)

What is your favorite toy?  Scooter (he just got a scooter for his birthday so it was on the brain)

Who is your best friend?  Isaiah

What is your favorite thing to do?  Colors (he means coloring)

What is your favorite thing to do outside?  Ride a bike (which we rarely do these days)

What is your favorite holiday?  I don't know

What do you like to take to bed with you at night?  Ruff Ruff  (his stuffed dog)

Where is your favorite place to go?  Isaiah's house

What is your favorite restaurant?  Chicks-a-way

Where do you want to go on vacation?  I don't know

What do you want to be when you grow up?  I don't know

What did you do on your birthday?  Presents!  Ride my scooter.
