19 Weeks - Baby #2

Here's my 19 week post a little late. Since we were in Charleston this weekend, my belly pic this week was taken at our inn...hence, the old-fashioned looking background!

My 19 week belly pic with Caleb isn't the best b/c I was wearing a more loosely-fitting t-shirt, but I am definitely still showing more this time around.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 19 weeks, 6 days

Size of baby: weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. (according to babycenter.com)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 10.5 lbs total (2.5 lbs since last appointment)

Maternity Clothes: yes. Thankfully, I can wear all my maternity stuff from my pregnancy with Caleb (same exact seasons!) and I borrowed some things from my friend, Jennifer, as well.

Gender: It's a GIRL! With Caleb, I was convinced we were having a girl. This time, I was convinced we were having a boy. Apparently, I am always wrong! I did have dreams this time around that we were having a girl, though. The night before the ultrasound, I dreamed we were having a girl the entire night!

Movement: I usually feel the baby move at night when we're laying in bed watching TV or when I'm just laying still trying to go to sleep, but I have to be laying completely still. If I'm moving around like normal throughout the day, I do not feel anything. (no change from last week)

Sleep: Still having to get up to go to the bathroom several times a night. The crazy dreams are gone this week.

Symptoms: Having to pee all.the.time. When we were walking around Charleston, I could feel a hint of the sciatic pain on my right backside but nothing too painful. I could just feel a "pull" deep down after we'd been walking and walking and walking. I hope this does not mean bad things to come! Other than that, I am feeling great.

What I miss: um, maybe laying on my stomach and sleeping straight through the night!

Cravings: I am still really wanting strawberries & Caleb is loving them, too! also, bagels and cream cheese.

Best moment this week: finding out we're having a girl and everything looking perfectly healthy on the ultrasound!

What I am looking forward to: starting to pick out nursery stuff (which is a challenge because most things are overloaded with pink and I am not a pink person!)

I remember with Caleb, y'all had a name right away. How is the name selection coming for little lady Dotson?
