Aubrey is 7 Months Old!

WOW, I am really late posting this! Aubrey turns 8 months old tomorrow! oops! This month has just flown by!! Honestly, everything is running together and I'm not so sure this post will be 100% accurate but I wanted to get something posted.
* Don't know her weight at 7 months but I know it wasn't much more than at 6 months!

* She is sitting up pretty well on her own. She still prefers to be on her back, though....my little flat-headed girl!

* She CAN roll over but she rarely does. Seriously, she still stays right where you put her. I think she will also be a late crawler and walker like Caleb. I kinda wish she would at least roll around because she starts getting fussy if she's in one place for too long . I want her to start moving around at least a little bit so she can get to toys and not just be stuck in one spot.

* She is still in size 6 month clothes and 6-9 month pajamas; size 2 diaper for daytime and size 3 for nighttime.

* She's napping 3 times a day - morning, after lunch and late afternoon.

* She sleeps well at night....mostly from ~8pm to 7-8am. I do still get her up once for another bottle before I go to bed, but she goes right back to sleep. (most of the time, anyway)  Sometimes she wakes up in the 6 o'clock hour, but unless she is crying (which she almost never is), I don't go get her until at least after 7am.  If she does this, I usually have to turn down the baby monitor b/c she talks so loudly to herself.  Most of the time when I go get her later she has fallen back asleep.

* She's eating her solids pretty well. So far, she has not rejected anything but I can tell what she prefers. She eats oatmeal with prunes mixed in (b/c I think the plain baby oatmeal tastes nasty), squash and bananas.  I haven't been good about trying something new every 3-5 days so we haven't done many things yet.  (as of her 7-month birthday)
* No sippy cup yet...I keep forgetting to try it!

* Still struggling with getting her to drink a lot of formula. I always offer her 4 oz and she usually just takes 2 oz, sometimes 3 oz. She still seems to be healthy, although slow-growing. I'm trying not to worry myself sick over it, but it's hard not to at least be a little worried.

* She smiles so much! However, getting her to laugh is SO hard. I don't know why she doesn't laugh much because she is such a happy girl.

* She likes to clap her hands together. And speaking of her hands...she still loves them!

* Her favorite toy seems to be this thing called an O-Ball Rattle that I got at Target. It's a ball (obviously) and it's rubbery, hollow, and flexible...and it has little rattles all over it. I don't know how else to describe it - ha! Its easy for her to hold, so I think that's one reason she is drawn to it.

* She is a mama's girl!! (and I secretly....ok, not so secretly...love it!) Caleb has never preferred me over anyone and in fact, I think he's always preferred Rhett. Now I at least have one child who wants me over anyone else. :-)

* She loves to stand up in your lap. She also likes the jumperoo. I think she just likes standing.

* Her new favorite thing to do is to grab hair (MY hair!) and hold onto it for dear life. I have lost so much hair from her pulling it, I'm surprised I don't have any bald spots - ha!

* She is still so good in her car seat and on the go. Just give her something to grab/play with and she's good.
* She is still sucking her thumb, but mostly just when she's tired or going to sleep. She doesn't usually just have it in her mouth, which is good.

* She still has not found her feet. Caleb never did either and I always thought it was a little strange since it seems like most babies eventually do. Apparently our children do not! Why bother with feet when you have such wonderful hands - ha!  (or maybe they inherited my aversion to feet, LOL.  I think feet are gross!  well, except for little baby feet!)

* She can fake cough and it is so cute! Also, if you make a little squealing sound or a coughing sound, she will squeal or cough back, LOL.

Ok, that's all I can think of.  Nothing major really happened between 6-7 months other than starting solids, so that's about it!

I only have a few pictures for now....the ones that are still on my SD card.  My laptop completely died a few weeks ago and with it went all of my picture folders.  Luckily, we back up everything online at a site called Carbonite.  I still need to upload the pics from Carbonite to my new laptop.  Once I get that done, I will come back and add more pics!  For now, this is it.....
