29 Weeks - Aubrey

I am 29 weeks and feeling like a whale, ha!  I can't believe how close we are getting to meeting Aubrey!

(for some reason I held my belly in this picture...??)

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 29 weeks, 5 days

Size of baby:  about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. (according to babycenter.com)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've gained 22.5 lbs total as of my appointment at 27 weeks.

Maternity Clothes: of course!

Gender: girl - Aubrey Lauren

Movement:  She has been moving a LOT this week!  And, she's started slowly pushing or kicking outwards, which is sometimes painful.  Sometimes she will push out and stay in that spot for a brief time or move to one side and I can feel a hard lump or knot where she is.

Sleep:  Still not sleeping well...a combination of having to get up to go to the bathroom and just not being able to get comfortable.

Symptoms: I have actually felt a little better this week and the aches/pains were not quite as bad....so, I've been taking advantage of this and trying to get some things done around the house.  (maybe I am nesting!)  Of course, I'm still having to pee all.the.time. and the aches and pains are still there, but overall this week was better.

What I miss: Right now, I am mostly missing being able to sleep on my back and not having the aches and pains!

Cravings:  Can't really think of anything specific.  I think I've had my fill of strawberries (I will still eat them, I just don't buy them every week and eat them every day now).

Best moment this week:  Feeling good enough to do some things around the house - we cleaned out Aubrey's closet, so we then had to clean and reorganize other closets to move those things into (it was the guest room and catch-all closet).  We finally picked a paint color for her room and bought the paint!  AND, Rhett and his dad built Caleb's "big boy bed" (a twin with trundle) on Saturday!  Still more work to do on that but we are getting things done!

What I am looking forward to:  hearing Aubrey's heartbeat at my appointment on Thursday and working more on Caleb's bed (sanding, painting, etc).  Hopefully we will have it finished by this time next week!
