Memorial Day Weekend

I'm a little late with this post, but better late than never! For Memorial Day weekend, we went to visit Rhett's family in Baton Rouge. His brother, SIL, and nephew are moving to North Carolina soon, so we wanted to visit with them before they move. Travis is an M.D. and he's doing a fellowship in NC. We don't get to see them as often as we would like, but it will be even worse with them living way beyond driving distance!

We got there late that Friday night b/c we couldn't leave until after work. Saturday, we went and had lunch with Travis & Holly while Rhett's parent's kept Cal (he just turned one in April). Then we went to see the new Terminator movie. I have not seen all the others in their entirety, so I was a little lost. It was decent, though. Afterwards, we went back to Rhett's parent's house & I watched while Rhett, Travis, and Holly played homerun derby. Rio played too...he fetched all the loose balls! Here are a few pics:

Sunday, we went to church with the family and then back to the house for lunch. While everyone else took a nap, I begged Rhett to go with me to Motherhood Maternity to look for some new jeans. Boy, did I ever hit the jackpot! I've been wearing some maternity jeans from Old Navy, but have recently started growing out of them slowly but surely. Buying an entire pregnancy wardrobe seems like such a waste of money, but what can you do? I've already outgrown several things I bought earlier in my pregnancy. Anyway, Rhett dropped me off & went to Best Buy (he joined me later). They had so many cute things, I was overwhelmed! I tried on a million things, and finally settled on 2 pairs of jeans, a pair of khaki pants that can also be capris, and 3 shirts. Jackpot! The jeans are so comfy & they aren't squeezing the life out of me, so I am happy! Sunday night, we all went out to eat pizza at B.J.'s Brewery....and that pretty much closed out the weekend.

We woke up bright and early on Memorial Day and headed out. When we got home, we went to pick up Caleb's crib and dresser/changing table. We also picked up another paint sample from Sherwin Williams. I still can't decide what color to go with...I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to paint colors. I do have it narrowed down to two now!
