20 Weeks - Halfway!!

I can't believe we are already halfway there!  I know little sister will be here before we know it.  I am trying to enjoy my last few months alone with Caleb, but I'm also excited to meet our baby girl.  Caleb just doesn't know how good he has it with Mama's undivided attention!  I wanted to do the "it's a girl" sign last week since that's when we found out, but since we were in Charleston, it didn't happen.  Here it is this week...

And the comparison...the Caleb belly vs. the Aubrey belly.  It's nice to actually use her name instead of "baby #2" or "baby girl" now.  :)

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 20 weeks, 5 days

Size of baby:  weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now...also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel - the length of a banana. (according to babycenter.com)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've gained 10.5 lbs total as of my last appointment at 19 weeks.

Maternity Clothes: yes. Thankfully, I can wear all my maternity stuff from my pregnancy with Caleb (same exact seasons!) and I borrowed some things from my friend, Jennifer, as well.

Gender: It's a GIRL!  Aubrey Lauren Dotson...first granddaughter on both sides!

Movement: I usually feel her move at night when we're laying in bed watching TV or when I'm just laying still trying to go to sleep, but I have to be laying completely still. If I'm moving around like normal throughout the day, I do not feel anything. (no change from last week)

Sleep: Still having to get up to go to the bathroom several times a night.  Also, I'm now supposed to avoid sleeping on my back.  This is difficult b/c I like sleeping on my back!

Symptoms: Having to pee all.the.time.  Some pressure/achiness, which my doctor says is normal, especially for the 2nd pregnancy.

What I miss:  sleeping on my stomach and back and sleeping straight through the night!

Cravings: I am still really wanting strawberries...also, pretty much anything sweet.  Ice cream always sounds good!

Best moment this week: letting it sink in more and more that we are having a GIRL...and we are very excited!  also, our trip to SC last weekend and Woodville this weekend.  :)

What I am looking forward to: starting to pick out nursery stuff and also thinking about Caleb's "big boy room" as well!  I am going to go to Pottery Barn Kids sometime this week and check out their bedding.  It isn't the cheapest out there, but I found a girl set that I actually like that isn't dominated by pink.
