Caleb's Vacation to Mimi & G-Dad's

Caleb stayed with Rhett's parents while we went to South Carolina. Their house in Magnolia is only about 40 minutes from us, so it was an easy arrangement. Rhett's mom was at a nursing conference all day Saturday, so his dad had Caleb all by himself the entire day. That was really the only day I was concerned about just because Mr. Rich would not have reinforcements! (not anything to do with his ability to take care of Caleb). I just know how busy and into everything Caleb is so for someone who's not had to watch a toddler all day for many years, it would take some getting used to again. They decided that to help with the transition, they'd stay at our house Saturday and Saturday night and then go to their house on Sunday. Thankfully Caleb did great for G-Dad and I think they played outside most of the day. Mr. Rich said that Caleb was very well-behaved! That evening, they went to pick up Mrs. Donna in downtown and ate dinner at Chili's.

We were told that Caleb did very well and was a good boy for the entire 4 days!  We were very happy to hear this and proud of him for behaving so well.  Supposedly not one fit - why can't he do that at home?!  :)  They played outside almost all day every day, so I'm sure that helped.  Here he is having fun on the Gator that he and cousin Cal got for Christmas.  He is not big enough to drive it yet, but he's happy enough just sitting on it!

They did have a little cool front so I'm glad I packed a couple pairs of pants and left his jacket in the car!

Mimi and G-Dad said he ate like a horse!

And overall, the visit was a success!  He was one happy boy!  (but he did call for Mama and Dada sometimes, so at least we know he still loves us!)
