Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 23 weeks, 5 days
Size of baby: more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound - about as much as a large mango (according to babycenter.com)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've gained 15.5 lbs total as of my appointment last Thursday. I gained 5 lbs between 19 and 23 weeks.
Maternity Clothes: yep (this will not change from here on out!)
Gender: girl - Aubrey Lauren
Movement: Her movements are still the most noticeable when I'm laying or sitting still, but they are getting stronger so I'm feeling some at other times, too. She seems to be the most active at night! (just like her big brother was)
Sleep: Still having to get up to go to the bathroom several times a night, so I never really feel like I get a solid night's sleep anymore.
Symptoms: Just this week, I've started to really feel pregnant. I guess I've just become more aware of the belly and it is taking more effort to do things like picking up Caleb and bending over! I've also started to feel a little breathless at times, but maybe that is just because I am out of shape, in general - ha! some things that haven't changed - having to pee all.the.time; some pressure/achiness, which my doctor says is normal; starving and having to snack more; some mild reflux at night - it's not painful and I don't know if it even really counts as reflux....I can just still taste my food, if that makes any sense! Overall, I am feeling pretty good though!
What I miss: sleeping on my stomach and back and sleeping straight through the night.
Cravings: still pretty much the same...strawberries, ice cream, other sweets, juice, and I'm really wanting some Mexican food right now (specifically Lupe Tortilla!)
Best moment this week: hearing Aubrey's heartbeat (155 bpm) at my appointment this past Thursday
What I am looking forward to: hopefully choosing a paint color for her room. we got 2 samples from Sherwin Williams on Friday so we need to try them out! (this kind of thing is trivial, but still a fun part of the planning process. I'm not trying to get too deep with these answers!)
