Stress Engineering Company Picnic

Rhett's company has a spring picnic every year at Lazy Acres Ranch in Magnolia. This was actually our first year to go. It was held this past Sunday afternoon so we headed straight there after church. Caleb only got about a 30 minute nap in the car, so he wasn't functioning at 100%. He did have a good time, though - we could just tell he wasn't fully rested. There were lots of things for kids of all ages to do (pony rides, ball pit, inflatables, water slide, a playground, pinatas, a train ride) and some adult activities as well (fishing, softball game, horseshoes, putt-putt). They also did door prizes, but we didn't win anything. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the food, unfortunately. They had a "pasta bar" - who serves pasta at a picnic? Luckily they did have hot dogs for the kids, but no burgers or chips or any other normal picnic food. I did like that they had unlimited sno-cones and popcorn! Here are some pictures we took....

As expected, Caleb loved the pony ride.  He rode twice and didn't want to get off!

we can't be around animals without petting them!

This was his first ball pit experience (well, other than a really small one a friend has), and at first he was unsure of what to do.  Then he saw other kids playing around and he got more into it.

Before we got him out, he finally started standing up and jumping/falling (although that is hard to get a picture of - too blurry)

He loved this super fast slide they had.  Daddy had to hold his hand going down, otherwise he would have shot off the end of it and hurt himself!  (it was really meant for bigger kids, obviously)

family pic...hot, sweaty and tired....but having fun!

they had a little train for the kids to ride, but I'm not sure how much Caleb actually enjoyed it b/c by this time he was really worn out.  normally, he loves trains.  (I am holding my 2nd sno-cone and bag of popcorn!)
